ABU DHABI, 24th March, 2022 (WAM) — Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, has visited the Critical Infrastructure and Coastal Protection Authority (CICPA) headquarters and was briefed on its strategy, programmes, objectives, and the protection plans it applies, which aligns with the best international practices.
During the visit, Al Bowardi stressed the importance of the roles and responsibilities entrusted to the Authority, which contribute to securing and protecting the country’s vital facilities and coasts and represent the most important pillars of the economy.
He pointed out that enhancing the security and safety of facilities comes at the top of the Authority’s priorities.
Al Bowardi was briefed on the role played by CICPA in supporting the security and stability of vital facilities and following up, evaluating and developing procedures related to ensuring the protection of these facilities.
He expressed his appreciation for the national cadre efforts and underlined the importance of continuing to work on developing the systems and standards applied to reinforce maritime security and safety.
