Climate change advocates emphasize the importance of grassroots advocates in shaping public perception. According to experts, having advocates within local communities can be more persuasive as they are familiar faces armed with facts and passion for advocacy.

The Climate Reality Project has been successful in training individuals worldwide, who have gone on to make significant impacts. Notable examples include Christiana Figueres, who ran the Paris Conference after going through the training, and Steven Miles, who was recently elected premier of Queensland in Australia. Furthermore, a 13-year-old named Taylor Francis from California, who completed the training in 2006, now heads Watershed, a company focused on addressing climate change.

Over 300 graduates of The Climate Reality Project were part of their respective national delegations at COP 28 in Dubai, showing their active involvement in advocating for climate action on the international stage.

Overall, the emphasis on grassroots advocacy and the success stories of individuals trained by The Climate Reality Project highlight the importance of community-driven efforts in addressing climate change.
