TEL AVIV, 8th February, 2022 (WAM) — Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Head of the Federal National Council (FNC) Delegation, which is currently visiting Israel, met with Mickey Levy, Speaker of the Knesset.
The meeting was also attended by FNC members Sarah Mohammed Falkinaz and Marwan Obaid Al Muhairi.
During the meeting, both sides discussed ways of boosting their cooperation and highlighted the importance of the Abraham Accords signed between the UAE and Israel, which help create opportunities for cooperation, especially in the parliamentary field.
Levy stressed that the visit of the FNC delegation is historic, as it is its first parliamentary visit to Israel, and noted that the Knesset is establishing a parliamentary friendship committee with the UAE.
He also highlighted the key role of parliaments in improving bilateral relations, and officially invited FNC Speaker to visit Israel.
Dr. Ali Al Nuaimi stressed the importance of the Abraham Accords, which support the efforts to achieve peace in the Middle East and combat extremism and hate in the region.
Regarding peace in the Middle East, the two sides highlighted the importance of ending the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and achieving overall peace in the region.
