Anderson Silva Knockdown Is Message For Jake Paul

Anderson Silva is one of the greatest UFC fighters to ever take to the Octagon, but like others before him, he has turned his hand to boxing, showing us what he can do in a different format of combat sports.

Back in May of this year, he fought on the Floyd Mayweather undercard as Money took on Don Moore in an exhibition bout out in Dubai.

The Brazilian fighter took on Bruno Machado in an exhibition bout, meaning there was no winner on the night, however, it’s safe to say that if there was, it was a convincing win for Silva who completely outclassed his opponent, scoring a delightful knockdown during the contest.

In his boxing career, he has defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and Tito Ortiz, showing us how well he can adapt to the different sport and just how good he is in the ring.

After the fight, Jake Paul was quick to jump on social media with his face photoshopped onto a pest control worker, hinting that he’d dispatch Silva with ease. He’d already said he would be keen to take him on in a boxing bout.

Well, that could be set to be reality as according to Keemstar on Twitter, the fight between the pair is close to being announced after The Problem Child has had a string of fights called off due to problems with the other fighters.

After both Tommy Fury and Hasim Rahman Jr withdrew, he’s been left without an opponent in the ring, although he is aiming for an October return.

The Problem Child will have to be on top form, with Silva being in the ring much more recently and putting on a clinic for those lucky spectators watching on in Dubai prior to seeing Mayweather entertain as he always does.

When fighting Machado, Silva unleashed a brutal flurry of punches when pinning his opponent to the ropes, targeting body shots as well as head shots, giving his opponent little chance to defend due to his speed before he hit the canvas.

It’s a clear message of Silva’s ability in the ring, backing up his impressive victories by masterclass performances, there’s an incredibly strong argument to be made for Silva being the toughest opponent Paul will have taken on in the ring by some considerable margin, so it will be interesting to see how he fairs if or when, the fight is announced for October.
