During its regular meeting held at the headquarters of Jordan’s Ministry of Investment, the Arab Union also discussed mechanisms for improving the exhibition and conference industry in Arab countries and how to improve its contribution to the national economy.
The meeting was chaired by Saif Mohammad Al Midfa, Chairman of the AUIEC’s Board of Directors, Member of the Sharjah Consultative Council, and CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, and Khairy Amr, Minister of Investment, Jordan, as well as members of the AUIEC Board of Directors.

Al Midfa said that the gathering aligns with the union’s ongoing efforts to promote the exhibition and conference industry in the Arab countries, foresee its future, and develop innovative strategies. He stressed that the union strives to enhance the industry’s competitiveness, improve its performance, and sustainable growth, while also enabling it to play its primary role in fostering economic recovery and reviving the tourism and commerce sectors.
“Through the 1st Arab Expo, the union looks forward to expanding inter-Arab collaboration and laying solid foundations for a robust and sustainable Arab economy with the support of the exhibitions and conferences sector,” Al Midfa said.
