Recently, Sheikh Mohammed issued Decision No. (02) of 2024, reconstituting the Board of Directors of the ‘Digital School’, a part of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives. The Board will be led by Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications.

Other members of the Board include prominent figures such as Dr. Hamdan Musallam Al Mazrouei, Huda Al Hashemi, Sultan Al Shamsi, Aisha Abdulla Miran, Dr. Mohammed Qassem, and Dr. Waleed Al Ali. The Board will serve a term of three years and is responsible for managing the Digital School in line with its bylaws.

The Digital School, launched in 2020 by Sheikh Mohammed, aims to provide digital learning opportunities for students in remote and underserved areas. With a focus on utilizing advanced learning technologies and artificial intelligence, the initiative aims to enhance the educational experience for students in need. The Digital School has already enrolled over 160,000 students in 13 countries and has trained 2,500 digital teachers. Its educational content is available in Arabic, English, French, and Spanish to cater to a diverse audience.
