DUBAI/WASHINGTON – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva asserted that working with Egypt is a top priority for the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Georgieva stated – in a post on the social media platform “X” Monday – “We have made significant progress in our discussions on the comprehensive policy package necessary to complete the first and second reviews of Egypt’s economic reform programme.”

She expressed her happiness in meeting with Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli.

Georgieva is participating in the 2024 World Government Summit, held under the theme “Envisioning the Governments of the Future,” which began in Dubai earlier today and continues until February 14th, with the participation of more than 25 heads of state and government.
