Dubai: Singer Nutsa Buzaladze’s performance sway American Idol judges Katy Perry, Lionel Riche

The Georgian national, Nutsa Buzaladze recently auditioned for the popular US reality show, American Idol.

Dubai expat Nutsa Buzaladze won the hearts of the American Idol judges and received a triple ‘yes’ from them during an audition.

The 25-year-old got her golden ticket to Hollywood after auditioning for the popular US reality show.

The Dubai resident is now progressing to the next round of American Idol after catching the attention of the judges in the debut episode of season 21 of the reality show.

Buzaladze managed to impress Roar singer Katy Perry and the rest of the judging panel, Stuck On You singer Lionel Richie and Play It Again singer Luke Bryan during her audition round.

As per Khaleej Times, during the audition that was aired on Monday, Nutsa Buzaladze was called “JLo from Georgia” by judge Luke Bryan.

Originally from Georgia, Nutsa Buzaladze grew up with a dream to be on the famous reality show since she was eight years old.

The other two judges, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie applauded her performance. After listening to the first song, Katy Perry said there is “some voice in there”.

As Nutsa Buzaladze was about to begin her second song, Perry added, “give us natural beauty.” Lionel Richie also praised her and said, “You nailed it.”

Sharing that she received the golden ticket to Hollywood, Nutsa took to her Instagram account and thanked the judges. “I won’t let you down,” she wrote promising that she “will work on everything to become better for the Hollywood week.”

The 25-year-old Dubai singer began her performance with a rendition of Lady Marmalade.
