The Emirates Down Syndrome Society, at its headquarters in Dubai, welcomed the students from the Development Center for the academic year 2022/2023, and Dr. Manal Jaarour, chairman of the board, expressed his great joy at the return of people with Down syndrome to the center to benefit from all the specialized services that they receive from competent specialists in a well-configured atmosphere in an educational environment. Qualification according to the highest standards. Jaarour confirmed the association’s determination to develop services in relation to quantity and quality and said: Every year we add new services and receive a larger number, and we would not have done this without the support of the association’s strategic partners. Since the opening of the center in 2009 to date, the center has provided direct services that have benefited (580) members with Down syndrome, represented in the rehabilitation courses, which began with one semester in 2016, bringing the number of classes to (5 ) classes in both Arabic and English, and a professional preparation class. As the total number of students enrolled in classes for this year reached (30), as for the supportive therapeutic services (physiotherapy, occupational therapy and treatment of language and speech disorders), the number of individual sessions since 2009 to date has reached 43,400 individual sessions, in addition to counseling sessions Family, special education and behavior modification.
