Ras Al Khaimah, August 6 / WAM / The Mataf Society for Heritage and Naval Arts of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah participated in the 14th edition of the International Festival for Children of Peace organized by the Bouregreg Association of the Kingdom of Morocco, in the presence of more than 650 children from 35 countries as part of the programs to celebrate Rabat, the cultural capital of the Islamic world 2022.
The Emirates operetta embodied an inspiring story of the country’s history, the journey of prosperity, growth and development and the vision of the founding leader, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace.
The distinguished participation of Emirati children was appreciated and admired by the participants represented at the launch of the “Call for Peace”, which calls for spreading the spirit of tolerance and coexistence in different regions of the world and where children demand that all adults working to win the battle for peace so that all the children of the world can enjoy it and it spreads to all parts of the earth.
Mohammed Al Shehhi, Chairman of the Society’s Board of Directors, said that the festival reflects the visions that underpin ISESCO’s approach to promoting and consolidating the values of peace in the world, based on the active and vital role it plays in maintaining and sustaining human and societal values.
In turn, Arefa Al-Falahi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Mataf Association, praised the distinguished participation of children in the UAE, saying that they drew a beautiful painting of peace, tolerance and love, which was admired by all and expressed the values that are instilled in them, which expresses the UAE’s pioneering approach, its wise leadership and its sincere role in devoting supportive efforts to achieve peace and stability in the world.
She also praised the distinguished and successful host of sister country Morocco and ISESCO’s growing role in supporting programs aimed at encouraging children to embody a culture of peace, love and respect throughout the world and to introduce the countries’ cultures, heritage , art. and diversity, in addition to other outstanding efforts in the cultural and scientific aspects.
