DUBAI, Aug 31 / WAM / The Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Foundation is organizing a major art exhibition titled “Al Owais Forum for Arabic Calligraphy”, on September 19 at the Grand Exhibition Hall of the Foundation’s building in Dubai.
The exhibition includes 63 calligraphers representing the colors of Arabic calligraphy, where the words harmonize between stillness and movement, color and decoration, and the Arabic letters pulsate out of the frame of the image and touch the emotions, in a flow that satisfies the high taste, combines originality with modernity, and plastic art mingles with the beauty of calligraphy on an unlimited horizon.
This exhibition comes as a continuation of the circle of attention given by the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation to ancient and authentic arts and opens the door to talents who share similar tendencies and visions and combine their efforts to present a brighter picture of a civilized state, spirit and landmark, advancing in the ways of the nations.
On the sidelines of the event, a seminar on the art of calligraphy in the Emirates over half a century will be held, where a number of veteran artists will talk about the journey of calligraphy in the Emirates.
