ABU DHABI, July 1 (WAM) – Amana Healthcare, part of Mubadala Healthcare, organized a special graduation ceremony for its “Little Treasures” internship program for children for the year 2022.
A group of children between the ages of two and four with different educational needs have graduated from the unique “Little Treasures” program at Amana Healthcare Hospital for long-term care of children and attended the graduation ceremony with their families and celebrated by cutting a cake and various activities.
Launched in 2021, the Little Treasures program provides the best-in-class educational opportunities for patients undergoing long-term ventilator treatment in a state-of-the-art facility in Al Ain.
The program’s approach, which takes into account children’s academic, cognitive, physical and emotional needs, focuses on providing them with a comprehensive platform to help them integrate seamlessly into the formal education system upon completion of treatment.
An interdisciplinary team of dedicated teachers, pediatricians, occupational therapists and physiotherapists contributes to the success of this program.
The Little Treasures program runs two to three days a week and covers topics such as math, language and art with a focus on refining cognitive, fine motor, physical, social and emotional skills, sensory regulation and playing skills.
