DUBAI, July 12, 2020 (WAM) – The implementation rate of the project to build microfiltration plants for water with a microdistillation system implemented by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority in the Hatta region has reached 57% and the project is expected to be completed by the end of this year .
These stations are working to refine and sterilize the water in the Hatta Dam for emergency use only, as they will be relied upon in the event of faults in the water transmission and distribution network from Dubai to Hatta.
The stations have a capacity of 3 million gallons of water per day, at a total cost of 19 million dirhams. The fully automated stations are characterized by delivering sustainable and secure solutions with high efficiency through the use of the latest innovative global technologies and sustainable equipment with low carbon emissions.

His Excellence added that the projects implemented by the Hatta Region Authority are in line with the Hatta Region’s comprehensive development plan, which aims to consolidate the basis for sustainable development for this region and provide the highest level of high quality services. to the Hatta region, whether for residents or visitors, and the establishment of development projects taking into account the conservation of the environment and natural resources of this region.
