Abu Dhabi, June 26 / WAM / Etihad Airways will resume direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Beijing, starting on June 29, and it is the first international commercial flight to return to Beijing, based on the latest directives from the Chinese government.
In a statement today, Etihad Airways said the resumption of direct flights between the two capitals is a new achievement of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the UAE.
Etihad Airways will operate a weekly flight on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, one of the world’s least fuel-consuming aircraft.
Martin Drew, Senior Vice President of Global Sales at Etihad Airways, stressed the importance of resuming commercial flights between Abu Dhabi and Beijing, after resuming the airline’s operations to Shanghai, and noted that the return of flights between the two capitals would strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the UAE.
