ABU DHABI, 30 June / WAM / Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation stressed to the citizens of the country the importance of prior planning before traveling to perform the Hajj rituals by reviewing the travel instructions on the side of Emirati travelers, available at the Ministry’s website, and reviews the requirements and procedures for entering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation drew attention to the need to comply with all instructions issued by the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and stressed the importance of obtaining Hajj permits from approved Hajj campaigns to enter Makkah Al-Mukarramah , and to review the nearest health center in the country to take the necessary medical vaccinations inland before leaving the Holy Land. And taking into account not to use private cars in the rituals of Hajj, and to comply with arrival dates specified by the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to comply with the laws of the country hosting the pilgrims.
His Excellency Abdulaziz Al Habsi, Director of Civil Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, said the ministry provides support to all citizens abroad around the clock and addresses emergencies to which citizens may be exposed.
He stressed the state pilgrims to contact the emergency number of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the country in case of emergencies or problems on the number 0097180024.
On the other hand, the Ministry urges citizens of the country wishing to travel to register for the “My Presence” service through the Ministry’s official website www.mofaic.gov.ae or the smart application of the Ministry “UAEMOFAIC”, where the service enables the ministry and its missions abroad to communicate with them in case of emergencies and crises while abroad.
And as an expression of the UAE’s eagerness for the care and security of its citizens abroad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has assigned an emergency telephone service 0097180024 to the nation’s citizens, through which it receives emergency communication around the clock. An emergency passport issuance service is also available as it provides through UAE missions abroad in the event of loss, damage or expiration of the UAE passport so that the citizen can return to the country safely. The emergency passport issuance service can also be easily and conveniently requested via the ministry’s official website or its UAEMOFAIC smart application.
