ABU DHABI, 17 July, WAM / Al Ain University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dresden University of Applied Sciences in Germany with the aim of strengthening bilateral collaborative relations between the two sides in common academic areas.
The memorandum was signed by Professor Christoph Scholf, President of Dresden University of Applied Sciences, and Dr. Ghaleb Al-Refai, President of Al Ain University.
The memorandum aims to strengthen aspects of academic, cultural and research exchange, contribute to the professional development of academics, collaborate on teaching and scientific research and develop joint research projects in areas of interest to both universities at the level of all faculties and programs. The memorandum also contains the opportunity to promote the exchange of faculty members, the exchange of students and the organization of events, conferences and student activities. The two parties also agreed to exchange educational and research projects, publish scientific research and discuss joint study programs, in addition to collaborating in the provision of lifelong learning courses and the exchange of vocational education for students in both countries.
Dr. Ghaleb Al-Refai, the president of the university, explained that the conclusion of the memorandum reflects the university’s strategy in consolidating collaborative relationships with prominent educational institutions and improving sources and information, helping to increase knowledge exchange and shared experiences and expertise. He underlined the zeal of Al Ain University to support scientific research and participate in community service with the aim of improving the quality of education in the United Arab Emirates.
Dr. Imad Al-Ghazwa, Dean of the College of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, suggested that the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Dresden University of Applied Sciences falls within the scope of Al Ain University’s efforts to develop knowledge among academics and students through information – and knowledge exchange between the two universities, which points to the depth of academic and scientific collaborations that the university brings together with a number of From educational and research institutions in different countries of the world.
