Emirates News Agency – Organizing the third annual meeting of high school graduates affiliated with the Hamdan Bin Rashid Center for Giftedness and Innovation

DUBAI, August 19 / WAM / The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance organized the annual meeting for high school graduates affiliated with the Hamdan Bin Rashid Center for Giftedness and Innovation under the title “Who are you after years?” At the Union House Museum in Dubai.

The event held yesterday brought together newly graduated high school students with graduates of previous years from the Hamdan Bin Rashid Center for Giftedness and Innovation for one annual meeting where they exchanged experiences among themselves and discussed the importance of the university scene and what the student needs. The students presented and discussed their various experiences in all scientific fields. The event also witnessed the enhancement of personal and leadership skills in an atmosphere of fun, enjoyment and benefit.

The event took place within the framework of the center’s goals, which aim to improve the quality of education and ensure a comprehensive and continuous care for its talented students and prepare them for the university phase and the future of their working life. 30 students from the age of 18 to 22 participated in the event.

Dr. Jamal Al Muhairi, Vice Chairman of the Board and Secretary General of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance, said that the organization of the annual meeting for high school graduates associated with the Hamdan Bin Rashid Center for Giftedness and Innovation comes within the framework of the centre’s objectives to support and nurture talented students at all stages, prepare them for the university stage and hone their skills. And give them knowledge to upgrade generations equipped with science and knowledge that contribute to building and lifting the country and keep pace with the rapid development in all areas.

The meeting program contained many paragraphs and activities presented by the participants, the first of which was a discussion of the skills that students need at the university level, such as organizing and managing time, flexibility in dealing with technology, university work and its importance, coping more than one language, the importance of reading, continuous knowledge, competitive spirit, teamwork, acceptance of winning and losing, communicating and dealing with others along with many other activities and fun competitions.

Abdullah Al-Attar, a content creator, a consultant in financing and investment, a certified trainer in human development, participated as a keynote speaker, in the presence of a number of officials and educators of the center, who enriched the meeting by sharing experiences with students and learning about the center student performance in their university life.

The program included a segment of entertainment competitions which aimed to add an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment to the meeting where questions were asked and entertaining and enthusiastic games were presented to the students.
