ABU DHABI, 7 July, WAM / His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, received Amanda Melling, Prime Minister of Asia and the Middle East at the British Foreign, Commonwealth Affairs and Development Office.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of common interest and ways to develop cooperative relations between the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom in different areas and sectors in order to increase progress, prosperity and development for the two friendly countries and peoples. They also discussed recent developments and ways to support the stability of the region and the key developments in the African arena.
His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan Al Nahyan reaffirmed the United Arab Emirates’ willingness to strengthen partnerships with the friendly United Kingdom, in addition to supporting joint cooperation in all areas.
HE Meiling, for his part, praised the solid and entrenched relations between the two countries and the constructive cooperation at all levels, and emphasized that there are many opportunities to support and strengthen them in different areas.
