Sharjah, August 29 / WAM / On the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day, Sharjah Book Authority celebrated the experiences of Emirati women writers and creators and highlighted their creative project and their writing careers on its official accounts on social networking sites to present to new generations models of Emirati creative and reveals their presence and the extent of their participation in the completion of the march of the Cultural Renaissance that the country witnessed during the fifty years of the creation of the Federation until today.
Through video interviews with three Emirati writers, the authority sent a message to its audience on social media, affirming that the renaissance of countries starts with investing in knowledge and building generations of readers who realize their responsibilities to their countries. To talk about their views on reading, their relationship with books and what they strive to achieve in writing.
During the Authority’s hosting of them, the authors spoke about Emirati women and the symbolism they represent in literature and art, and the impact of what they achieved in writing and authorship on the cultural and creative renaissance of the country since the establishment of the union until today.
