ABU DHABI, 3 July / WAM / Department of Local Government and Transport has announced the start of work on the “Al Bateen Beach Development for Ladies” project in Abu Dhabi city, in a new plan that includes the addition of modern facilities and facilities according to the highest international standards, to provide a distinctive and exclusive experience for women in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The Al Bateen Ladies Beach Development Project increases the level of infrastructure on site by offering innovative and modern community spaces to meet the needs of all categories of users, reflecting the department’s commitment to placing the demands of the emirate’s residents at the forefront of all its strategies and operations. to revitalize and develop areas in Abu Dhabi and develop more marked opportunities for leisure destinations for women, which is an important element in the sustainable development of communities and drives the development of the emirate.
The department indicated that the current location of Al Bateen Beach for Ladies will be temporarily closed during the development period until the completion of the project in the second quarter of 2023, to achieve the department’s vision of supporting the government’s guidelines to raise the quality of life in the emirate.
The development work on the beach covers an area of 36,580 square meters, including the addition of basic facilities, a restaurant, cafes and an air-conditioned prayer area, in addition to a private shop for women inside the beach offering main shopping opportunities, in addition to developing a 500 meter long gym. and running track and an indoor gym. , and outdoors, as well as many different sports facilities such as a volleyball court, a paddle court and a swimming pool, in addition to other service facilities such as changing rooms, shower rooms and other facilities that enhance the beach experience for women while giving them complete privacy.
The development work of Al Bateen Beach for Ladies also includes the addition of a children’s park that includes special equipment, a trampoline area and other safe, high-quality games for children.
His Excellency Dr. Salem Khalfan Al Kaabi, acting director general of operations at the Department of Local Government and Transportation, suggested that the Ladies Beach Development Project is an important addition to the capital’s rich portfolio of entertainment destinations and a significant destination for women in complete privacy.
He said, “The new development project includes modern facilities and facilities that provide a unique experience for women in the city of Abu Dhabi, thus enhancing their privacy. We are convinced that the beach will be one of the best leisure destinations for women in the city.
