SHARJAH, 11 July, WAM, Traffic accidents were recorded in the Emirate of Sharjah during the Eid Al-Adha holiday period from 9 to 11 July this year (zero), while the call center in the central operating room received 22,112 telephone calls, between emergencies and non-emergency.
Lieutenant Colonel Humaid Obaid Al Hajri, Deputy Director of the Sharjah Police Operations Division, confirmed that the presence of security and traffic patrols in various internal and external areas and roads in the city of Sharjah and the eastern and central regions for the purpose of securing and ensuring relief of the traffic has resulted in the success of the safety and traffic plan, which aims to achieve the goals of the Sharjah police in line with the Interior Ministry’s strategy to increase safety and make roads safer.
Lieutenant Colonel Al-Hajri revealed that the operating room and Sharjah police contact center received 22,112 phone calls throughout the emirate during the holiday, including 20,866 emergency phone calls / 999 /, while 1246 / non-emergency calls were received at the number / 901. Which included general inquiries and provided police services pointing out that all incoming calls, reports and inquiries were dealt with promptly.
