General Motors Africa and the Middle East, in partnership with the Technical Fellowship Program for Arab Youth at the Arab Youth Center, announced that it will host a series of interactive and educational sessions aimed at developing youth skills in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM ) disciplines across the region. . The strategic partnership, which runs from September 2022 to February 2023, will involve members of the Technical Fellowship Program of the Arab Youth Center through dialogue sessions, open discussions and mentoring opportunities with the participation of General Motors executives, employees and a number of its partners.
In recognition of this distinguished collaboration, General Motors has been approved as a major supporter of the “Technical Fellowship Program for Arab Youth”, which is a regional initiative of the “Arab Youth Center” and specializes in theoretical and practical virtual training. The fellowship program aims to empower Arab youth in many technical fields, especially in artificial intelligence. During the program, General Motors will partner with the Arab Youth Center to acquire future skills, develop leadership skills and innovative thinking, and encourage innovation among youth with themes such as inclusion, industrialization, future mobility and technology.
Her Excellency Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Youth Affairs and Vice President of the Arab Youth Center, emphasized that qualitative partnerships in the technology sectors are the basis for empowering young people in the vital fields that these sectors offer.
Her Excellency added: “We partner with international, regional and national companies specialized in technology to enable young people to acquire distinguished competitive skills. Talented and motivated young people to help accelerate and sustain the growth of our region are able to transform their latent abilities into leadership skills that put them at the forefront of the digital leapfrog projects that the region aspires to.” .
