by Dubaiforum

The UAE Ministry of Education has launched the Entrepreneurship Challenge as part of the Graduate Fund initiative to enhance the skills of Emirati university students and graduates for successful entrepreneurship. This program is a key component of the “Projects of the 50” initiative aimed at boosting the national economic environment and advancing the UAE’s developmental trajectory.

Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Education, emphasized the ministry’s commitment to nurturing talented Emirati students and graduates to enhance their competitiveness in various fields. The goal is to empower individuals with innovative ideas and entrepreneurial skills to translate their creativity into successful business ventures, further solidifying the UAE’s position as a global leader in entrepreneurship.

The Entrepreneurship Challenge targets UAE nationals aged 18 to 35, including university students and graduates. It welcomes individuals with entrepreneurial aspirations or existing young entrepreneurs and SME founders seeking to expand their businesses. The challenge aims to identify the most promising entrepreneurial talents among Emiratis and provide them with the necessary resources to thrive in a competitive business landscape.

Participants have the chance to win prizes totaling up to AED 2 million, with awards distributed among 12 Emirati winners. Beyond monetary rewards, winners will gain access to advanced incubator and accelerator programs, as well as personalized mentoring and coaching sessions to help them effectively manage and grow their businesses.

The Entrepreneurship Challenge is just the beginning for the Graduate Fund initiative, which seeks to instill an entrepreneurial mindset nationwide and support current and future Emirati entrepreneurs in realizing their business potential. Interested students and graduates can apply for the challenge through the official website until the deadline on May 1, 2024.
