ABU DHABI, 15th December, 2022 (WAM) — The Family Care Authority (FCA), an affiliate of the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi, is participating in the third Abu Dhabi Family Forum 2022, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF).
Organised by FDF, the event comes under the umbrella of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak’s Excellence and Community Intelligence Programme.
The Abu Dhabi Family Forum 2022 is being held in Marsana at Al Hudayriat Island – Abu Dhabi, from 16:00 to 21:00, between 13-18 December, under the slogan “Quality of Family Life in the Fifties”.
The participation of FCA includes a stand introducing the Authority’s services at the Sustainable Family in the Fifties Station, awareness workshops and daily community educational competitions for the public.
Specialist Yomna Al Sharqi presented a lecture titled “Be my friend” at 18::30 on Tuesday, 13th December, while the lead specialist, Dr. Asma Ismail, presented a lecture on “The Child Protection Law within the Child’s Mental Health” at 15:00 on Thursday, 15th December.
Dr. Bushra Abdullah Al Mulla, Director-General of FCA, said, “Our participation in the Third Abu Dhabi Family Forum 2022 reflects our belief in the compatibility of this event’s objectives with the social responsibilities we have taken upon ourselves in working to raise the quality of life of families in Abu Dhabi while preserving their privacy within a cohesive and interdependent society in which individuals and families enjoy developed and preventive family care.
“On the basis of studies of the changing social needs of the family and society in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, the Authority is overseeing new and developed government services that are directed to all family members. These include the unified services window provided by the Family Care Authority, and the comprehensive and integrated services system that addresses the root causes of social challenges and seeks to empower caregivers, counselling, and support in emergency situations,” she added.
The Abu Dhabi Family Forum has four main stations: the Sustainable Family in the Fifties; the Family and Future entrepreneurship; the Quality of Family Health, and the Family, Artificial Intelligence and Future Skills.
On the sidelines of the forum, there are several activities including the family community intelligence lab, the child’s zone, a happy hour, the main theatre, the VIP council, a “from the fifties and to the fifties” exhibition, and future media. In addition, the forum is presenting many cultural, artistic and entertainment events.
