Flag Day this year marks UAE’s journey towards progress, prosperity: WAM Director-General

ABU DHABI, 1st November, 2023 (WAM) — Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Director-General of the Emirates News Agency (WAM), has said that Flag Day represents the country’s journey towards progress, prosperity and growth, fostering its tolerance and coexistence principles.

In a statement marking the Flag Day, Al Rayssi described this occasion as a precious national event that unites citizens and residents alike in their shared commitment to advancing and achieving glory under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Al Rayssi stated, “This special national event resonates with our deep love for the homeland and motivates us to continue scripting a history filled with pride, progress, and prosperity in all domains.”

He extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on this special day to the wise leadership, including President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court; Their Highnesses the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates, and to the UAE government and people.

“We are committed to pursuing a path of prosperity and unity under the guidance of our wise leadership, ensuring that our national flag remains a symbol of our identity, sovereignty and strength,” Al Rayssi concluded.
