Global COVID-19 cases cross 478.83 million

WASHINGTON, 28th March, 2022 (WAM) — More than 478.83 million people have been reported to be infected by the coronavirus globally, and 6,496,086 have died, according to a Reuters tally on Monday.

Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in December 2019.
