Global COVID-19 cases cross 517.29 million

WASHINGTON, 13th May, 2022 (WAM) — More than 517.29 million people have been reported to be infected by the coronavirus globally, and 6,654,061 have died, according to a Reuters tally on Friday.

Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
