Licensing for social care professionals now available in Abu Dhabi

by Dubaiforum

Social care professionals in Abu Dhabi are set to receive licenses to practice in private educational institutions thanks to a new partnership between the Department of Community Development (DCD) and the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK). This collaboration aims to improve the integration of social and educational sectors by establishing a joint high-level committee to oversee the implementation of the agreement, set priorities, monitor performance, and ensure effective cooperation.

Initially, 80 social care professionals employed by ADEK will be eligible for licensing, with plans to expand this opportunity to more professionals in the future. The goal is to elevate the quality of services provided to students by ensuring that professionals are highly competent and qualified.

Mubarak Hamad Al Muhairi, Undersecretary at ADEK, emphasized the significance of this collaboration in placing skilled professionals in private schools to support student well-being and academic success. Approximately 410 social care professionals are expected to benefit from this initiative, fostering supportive environments at home and in schools.

By enabling social care professionals to practice in private educational institutions, this partnership between DCD and ADEK is poised to enhance the overall educational experience for students in Abu Dhabi.
