Magnitude 5.1 quake hits northern Philippines

MANILA, 16th June, 2022 (WAM) — An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.1 jolted the province of Ilocos Sur in northern Philippines, with no immediate reports of damage or casualties.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said that the epicenter of the quake hit at a depth of 14 kilometres, about 63 kilometres northwest of the city of Candon.
