DUBAI, 1st March, 2022 (WAM) — Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, has visited the pavilion of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) at Expo 2020 Dubai, which is showcasing the historic legacy, achievements, future projects and deep-rooted ties between the GCC countries.
Al Bowardi explored the contents of the first section of the pavilion, which tells the story of the GCC’s establishment, structure and the development of strong relations between its member countries.
The second section showcases the achievements, economic openness and security and military cooperation of the GCC countries, while the third highlights joint future projects, infrastructure, economic unity and digital transformation, in addition to GCC patents, monetary union and the efforts to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.
Al Bowardi lauded the organisational efforts put into the pavilion and its valuable content and highlighted the importance of participating in Expo 2020 Dubai. He noted that the pavilion’s theme, “Unified Vision For A Promising Future”, is a testament to the unity and joint vision of the GCC countries, and commended the efforts of the organisers.
