CAIRO, 27th January, 2023 (WAM) — The Muslim Council of Elders’ stand at the Cairo International Book Fair 2023 saw a large turnout on the first day with prominent visits coming form Al-Azhar officials as well as other media and cultural personalities.
Among the visitors were Dr. Mohamed Dawiny, Undersecretary of Al-Azhar along with Dr. Nazir Ayad, Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy at Al Azhar as well as Dr. Ali bin Tamim, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre.
Also, a number of prominent media and cultural personalities visited the stand and praised the Council’s participation as well as the various publications on display. It also saw a large turnout from book fair visitors who explored the Council’s many publications, specifically the many newly-published and translated books.
The Council’s participation at the Cairo International Book Fair comes as part of the Grand Imam’s vision of promoting dialogue and spreading tolerance and peace globally as well as building bridges of cooperation with people of all backgrounds.
