New KHDA Director General Announced

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, has announced the appointment of Aisha Abdulla Miran as Director General of the KHDA, replacing Dr. Abdulla Al Karam. 

H.E. Aisha Abdulla Miran’s appointment was announced alongside the appointment of:

  • Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, as Director-General of Dubai Courts
  • Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, as Director-General of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority. 
  • Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, as Director-General of the Dubai Land Department (DLD) 

Sheikh Hamdan extended his best wishes to the newly appointed leaders in serving the city and its people:

“We will be keenly following their progress in the next phase, with the aim of further raising levels of service excellence in government, aligned with our strategic aspirations,”

Sheikh Hamdan expressed his appreciation of the work of the former Director General of the KHDA, Dr Abdulla Al Karam, alongside the other former heads of the government departments, stating that their significant contributions have played a vital role in raising service standards and excellence in Dubai”.

Dr Abdulla Al Karam has been an integral figure in the development of the KHDA since its formation in 2006. Prior to his role as Director General of the KHDA, Dr Al Karam held the post of CEO of Dubai Knowledge Village.
