The corona pandemic broke the necks of several luxury hotels in Frankfurt financially.

Now the next big hotel is retiring – but will soon have a new operator.

Frankfurt – The next luxury hotel in the banking and trade fair city of Frankfurt* gives up in the Corona lull*.

After the “Hessischer Hof”* and the “Villa Kennedy”*, the Arab chain Jumeirah is now closing its 218-room hotel in the city center.

The property in an office and shopping complex that was built just over ten years ago will continue to be operated as a hotel, as the Munich-based MHP Hotel AG announced as the new tenant.

A franchise agreement was reached with the US chain Marriott to operate the country’s first hotel of the luxury brand JW Marriott there from April 1st.

The hotel is to be extensively modernized.

A gradual normalization of the booking situation is expected for the coming months, MHP explained in a statement.

First, the “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung” reported on the change.
