Sugro members and suppliers were South America bound as they hosted their 2022 convention in Argentina.
The buying group flew more than 60 delegates around the world to host their conference and networking event, with the trip allowing for attendees to share presentations and future plans, alongside quality time networking.
As with Sugro’s trip to Dubai at the end of 2021, the business is working with Tomorrow’s Forest to plant 400 trees to offset the majority of the carbon emissions created by making the trip.
“Sugro has had 16 consecutive years of growth and continue with its strong performance in 2022 with the year-to-date growth of 32% on the same period in 2021,” said Head of Trading and Marketing, Yulia Petitt.
“With some excellent business opportunities being discussed between Members and Suppliers during the convention trip, there is no doubt that the Group will continue with its remarkable performance this year.
“As always, the convention trip was delivered with very high standards and some fantastic feedback from our members and suppliers. It was great to see how the event once again brought the ‘Sugro family’ together, this time in the incredible setting of Argentina.”
Members and suppliers who attended the trip were grateful for the opportunity to make the trip and recognised the value of conventions such as this.
“A truly unique experience shared with Sugro’s incredible members and suppliers,” said Suntory Beverages & Food National Account Manager, Alex McMillan.
“The nicely balanced mix of business and pleasure gave us a fantastic opportunity to present, engage and network with everyone on both a personal and business level in the most incredible settings.
“There is a lot of time and effort taken by Sugro and PG Events to make these conventions successful, and the phrase family feel is often used by Sugro to describe the group, which resonates even more once you experience a Sugro convention – absolutely spectacular.”
