Renowned Barceló Hotel Group property, Occidental Sharjah Grand Hotel, names new General Manager
Dubai, United Arab Emirates-: Occidental Sharjah Grand Hotel is pleased to announce the appointment of its new General Manager, Asier Baquero, who will oversee all operations at the iconic hotel destination located on the coast of Sharjah, overlooking the Arabian Gulf.
Baquero began his career over 22 years ago in his native home of Spain. A seasoned professional in hospitality operations, Baquero has served as General Manager and Deputy Manager across several resorts and city-based hotels under various international chains in the United Kingdom, Spain, Guatemala, Cuba and Mexico. He has an extensive record of managing various properties throughout his career, with substantial experience in leading teams through pre-launches, openings, and rebranding.
Baquero is no stranger to the Barceló Hotel Group, having previously worked with the Group in the early 2000s. He re-joined the brand in 2016 as General Manager at Barceló Lanzarote and then moved on to lead the Occidental Menorca team before settling into his new role at Occidental Sharjah Grand.
