The construction of the Natural History Museum in Abu Dhabi is currently 65 percent complete and is expected to be finished by the end of 2025. Situated within the Saadiyat Cultural District, this museum will be the largest of its kind in the region, spanning 35,000 square meters.

Once completed, the museum will take visitors on a journey through 13.8 billion years of history, from the earliest beginnings of the universe to the present day, and into the future. The focus is currently on interior fit-out, display installations, and the implementation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with structural work nearing completion.

Recently, HE Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of DCT Abu Dhabi and Miral, along with other officials, visited the site to assess the progress. They officially inaugurated the museum, emphasizing its role in advancing science, inspiring environmental stewardship, and positioning Abu Dhabi as a hub for research and collaboration.

The Undersecretary of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi praised the museum’s potential to educate and engage visitors of all ages, fostering a passion for the natural sciences and environmental conservation. The museum will showcase the Earth’s history while also highlighting sustainability and the region’s unique flora, fauna, and geological heritage.

Through an Arabian lens, the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi will offer a unique perspective on world natural history, setting the stage for an immersive and enlightening experience for future visitors.
