The Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language in the Department of Culture and Tourism is organizing, in the knowledge pavilion at the Qasr Al Watan Library, an exhibition that includes a collection of literary works by European travelers dating back to the thirteenth and nineteenth centuries and reviews broadly the various aspects of Arab civilization such as culture, music, medicine and literature.
A special section of the exhibition is dedicated to showcasing the winning books from the Sheikh Zayed Book Award between 2006 and 2022, a prestigious literary award given to cultural creators for their contributions in development, authorship and translation in the humanities, which has a clear impact on enriching it. cultural, literary and social life. Upon entering the library, visitors will learn about a wide variety of books, each with different linguistic and cultural backgrounds. At the end of the tour of the exhibition, visitors can go to the Palace Library, which houses a wide and comprehensive collection of references in excess of 50,000 books, from which they can choose what suits them, and go to the reading room, which provides an ideal environment to research, read, write and enjoy the stunning views of the garden and outdoor water fountains.
