Prince William has revealed on Twitter that he has arrived in Dubai ahead of a very important few days of royal duties looking at the importance of sustainability and the preservation of wildlife.
Ever the modern royal, The Duke of Cambridge tweeted a personal message alongside a snapshot from the plane window and shared it with the page’s 2.3 million followers.
The Duke wrote: “Excited to be arriving in Dubai to celebrate the UK at @DubaiExpo and discuss the vital issue of working together with the UAE and international partners to achieve a more sustainable world with @EarthshotPrize and United for Wildlife. W”
The trip will mark Prince William’s first solo visit to Dubai as he continues the important environmental work he has been doing for The Earthshot Prize.
The Duke is making the trip at the request of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and will visit the Expo 2020 Dubai. Following on from debates of sustainable travel, it was revealed that Prince William did not travel in a private jet and instead flew on a commercial airliner.
Royal fans were quick to reveal their excitement in the comments. One said: “I can’t wait to see the projects and partnerships that came out of this visit”.
While another added: “Very excited for your trip to Dubai and all the good things you are going to do there!”
