When a seasoned businessman meets a team of Turkish chefs and hospitality professionals you have a guaranteed recipe for success. Coupled with a stunning location and a clear premise and you have Ruby, an all-day eatery that is now open on Jumeirah’s Al Wasl Road.

Adding sparkle and shine to the hottest casual dining destination in the city, this homegrown Turkish steakhouse and all-day eatery is the brainchild of Kirill Mikhaylov, a real estate and waterpark operator from Russia.

An ardent fan of Turkish cuisine, Mikhaylov, a long-term Dubai resident, has harnessed his passion for the cuisine and put together a formidable team, including hospitality professionals with vast regional experience. A dream team of 12 Turkish chefs ably led by head chef Mücahit Kaynak gives Ruby’s diverse Ottoman-inspired yet international menu a stamp of authenticity.

Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Ruby promises a fuss-free, authentic Turkish-inspired menu and warm-friendly Turkish hospitality in a stunning space that is certain to turn heads.

From a traditional Turkish breakfast with more than 16 authentic dishes to a premium selection of mouth-watering meats and mezze, not to mention an in-house butchery, bakery and patisserie and signature coffee bar, the food at Ruby reflect the passion of the in-house culinary team.

The creativity and inventiveness of the kitchen team and waitstaff are on full display in the live kitchen and on the restaurant floor where a wide variety of steaks, kebabs, lamb racks, and other cuts of meat are cooked over charcoal, then brought over for some theatrical tableside carving.

Home-made desserts and bread of all shapes, sizes, and flavours are freshly baked in the restaurant every day and can be enjoyed with a signature specialty coffee drink made by the in-house barista, a first in the city’s burgeoning Turkish food scene.

Barring the carefully locally sourced produce and meats, all the ingredients are flown in from Turkey including spices, cold cuts, cheese, flour, oils, jams and signature breakfast items.

Polished wood interiors, avant-garde artworks, and the retractable roof not to mention an outdoor terrace for al fresco dining add to the allure of Ruby. Red accents including custom-made crystal glasses, red chairs and red tiles are a subtle ode to the name of the restaurant.

“Ruby is a real passion project. From the exemplary culinary and management teams that have come together to create this gem in the heart of Jumeirah to the quality and consistency of the food, the unique look and feel and the warmth that exudes from everyone who calls Ruby home, discerning diners can expect to be surprised and delighted every time they visit,” said Mikhaylov.

“We knew the convenient location in the heart of Jumeirah would resonate with residents in the area and locals who love the diversity and flavours of Turkish cuisine so the choice to open on Al Wasl Road was an easy one. With added services like valet parking, private dining and our elaborate Turkish breakfast served daily, we are ready to become the go-to-eatery neighbourhood eatery for all,” he added.

The rustic, warm customizable private dining area is perfect for events including business meetings, wedding receptions, family dinners and social gatherings.
