Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of Abu Dhabi, attended the ceremony of awarding institutional accreditation certificates to colleges, academies and police and security institutes by the Ministry’s Security Qualifications Center, “the body that awards police and security qualifications” that these institutes become centers that obtain authorization to offer and manage qualifications Police and security in accordance with the requirements of the professional qualification system.
His Highness witnessed the handing over of accreditation certificates to representatives of the Police College of the Ministry of Interior, Saif bin Zayed Academy of Abu Dhabi, Dubai Police Academy, Sharjah Police Academy, Civil Defense Academy, Special Security Forces Institute, Department of Police Science and Technology and National Security Institute.
The importance of this step in institutional accreditation is to ensure the uniformity of police training and qualification programs in these academies and at the level of the general police management in the country, in addition to raising the effectiveness and quality of training results in police and security areas and investment in human cadres by qualifying them with the latest scientific and practical methods in accordance with best practices. Globalization in vocational training, as these educational institutions became the first Registered Training Provider in the country, “Registered Training Provider”, according to which they obtain authorization to offer and manage police and security qualifications approved in accordance with the requirements of the professional qualification system, and this came as a result of the efforts of these institutions and their willingness to invest in the latest quality assurance tools and practices in various vocational education and training environments derived from the UAE National Qualifications System to ensure optimal employment of vocational training capacities and methods in the service of offering and managing approved qualifications in in accordance with the best modern training and education methods.
The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, His Excellency Lieutenant Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, His Excellency Major General Faris Khalfan Al Mazrouei, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhakab Sal Mali Ali, Shamsi, assistant deputy secretary of the Interior Ministry for resources and support services, and heads of state police and a number of officers.
