SHARJAH, 25th April, 2022 (WAM) — The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) will unveil the agenda of the 13th edition of the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF) tomorrow at a press event at its headquarters in Al Zahia.

The Festival, slated to take place between 11 – 22 May at Expo Centre Sharjah, carries the theme ‘Create Creativity’, is being held under the patronage and support of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the directives of his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs (SCFA).

SCRF provides the younger generations with a unique platform to pursue their passions, expand their curiosity and acquire new knowledge.

The international event also bolsters Sharjah’s status as a family-friendly city and an ideal setting for children and adolescents to grow and learn, through its exhaustive agenda of activities including theatre, arts and entertainment shows.

The 13th edition of SCRF, slated to be a 12-day event this year, will bring together a host of international writers and experts to lead diverse and inclusive activities aiming to unleash the creativity and hone the skills of youth across age groups.

Speakers at the event include Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Chairman of SBA, and Khoula Al Mujaini, General Coordinator of SCRF, who will announce the line-up of participants and the event’s agenda, including the Illustration Exhibition and the Poetry Knight competition.
