SHARJAH, 7th July, 2022 (WAM) — The Sharjah Press Club of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau today concluded “Ithmar 4” training programme.

The programme aimed to establish media awareness among students aged 10 to 17 years old and introduce them to journalistic and media work principles.

Held at Madar in Aljada, Tariq Saeed Allay, Director-General of SGMB; Asma Al Juwaid, Director of SPC; and Caroline Faraj, Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of CNN Arabic, honoured the students participating in the programme. They were given training certificates issued by the Sharjah Press in cooperation with CNN Arabic.

Al Juwaid thanked all the programme’s partners who contributed to its success, namely the shadowing programme of the SGMB, the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, the CNN Arabic team, the Rubu’ Qarn for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, and schools, for their cooperation.

She also announced a competition next August about creating content. Applying will be from 1-15 August, provided that the participants are all students of the previous batches, and three winners will be selected and announced during the International Government Communication Forum.
