The flagship luxury yacht of the UAE adopted design elements from US aircraft carriers

The Trekkie in me — Yes I like Star Trek; Noh, I don’t go to conventions — didn’t know naval flagships were really a thing like that the Enterprise is the flagship of the Federation. aapparently many countries in the world have their own respective flagship – or have had one at a time. However, the United Arab Emirates was not among those countries, but that could change. Maybe. Robb report describes how a designer wrote a superyacht concept that should be a flagship of the UAE, even if it looks a bit like a US aircraft carrier.

Designer Enzo Manca teamed up with an unknown sultan who believes the UAE needs a flagship to create this appearance of the yacht. TThe exterior design is inspired by defensive ships, mainly American aircraft carriers. You can really see it in the yacht’tower – known as Pry-fly (primary flight control) on aircraft carriers –that rises above the rest of the ship. The tower’s windows, like the rest of the nave, are tinted for privacy.

The term superyacht is used literally here. This thing is huge and has room in spades to keep those on board comfortable and entertained. It is 140 meters long and towers 40 meters above the water. It shows off 30,000 square feet of interior space spread over nine decks. There’s a private suite for the owner or captain or whatever, 14 mini apartments and eight cabins. That’s all in addition to another 35 cabins for the ship’s crew. Presumably to receive dignitaries or other wealthy people, there are gathering areas such as meeting rooms — and even a press room.

There is even room on board for a small fleet of vehicles. There is a hangar that is described as “protecting the presidential helicopter, a mini-port with a submarine and two helipads that can carry helicopters up to 16 meters long.

And when it’s time to chill out, a ship like this certainly has plenty Services. The main deck, which is covered in more than 30,000 square feet of teak, houses an 18-foot transverse pool, while the bow features a circular sofa with a fireplace as its centerpiece. There is also a spa, gym and wellness center — because of course there is.

Enzo Manca didn’t give details on what powers the ship or whether or not it will be built, but he did tell Robb Report that the interior rendering will come later this year. I wouldn’t be surprised if this thing ends up being one of the most expensive yachts in the world.
