Meanwhile, 10 planes have been sent to Syria, including the three that arrived today, carrying 87 tonnes of food supplies, 20 tonnes of medical supplies and 432 tents.

Efforts are also underway to set up a field hospital in the Turkish town of Islahiye.

The UAE has so far sent 92 search and rescue team members to Turkey, who have been operating under harsh weather conditions.

They rescued four people in Kermanmaraş and retrieved nine bodies from under the rubble.
