DUBAI, 29th April, 2022 (WAM) — Frank Eggman, Swiss Consul-General to Dubai and the Northern Regions, said the Holy Month of Ramadan offers all people a sense of peace and contemplation.
“The UAE educates us about coexistence and peace every day,” he added.
In his exclusive statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Eggmann stressed that Ramadan has a special importance in the UAE, highlighting the upstanding behaviours that accompany it, as the public is keen to reinforce family cohesion, most notably during Iftar and Suhoor timings.
He also noted that he has sensed such a cohesion in the district in Dubai where he lives, as people have been keen to share food with the less fortunate.
Speaking about Muslims in Switzerland, Eggman said they celebrate Ramadan freely in his country.
