UAE participates in Arab League Council’s 157th ordinary session

CAIRO, 9th March, 2022 (WAM) — The United Arab Emirates has participated in the 157th ordinary session of the Arab League Council at the level of permanent delegates, convened in Cairo today, to discuss and prepare the agenda for the meeting of Arab foreign ministers tomorrow.

Maryam Khalifa Al Kaabi, UAE Permanent Representative to the Arab League and Ambassador to Egypt, represented the country at the session chaired by Lebanon.

The delegates discussed the draft agenda of the ministerial meeting, which includes 11 items dealing with various issues of joint Arab action on the political, economic, social, security, financial and administrative levels. It also had the report of the Secretary-General from the last two sessions and preparation for the upcoming Arab Summit in Algeria.
