In a social media post on the occasion of Emirati Children’s Day, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan tweeted a message, reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to children and their future.

His Highness said; “Through everything we do today, we seek to create a better world for our children. On Emirati Children’s Day, we reaffirm our commitment to accelerating efforts aimed at securing a sustainable and prosperous future for our young people and for generations to come.”

The notable day was first introduced in 2018 and was announced by Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation. It raises awareness of children’s rights to a healthy, safe and supportive environment for their development.

A series of events and activities are organised across the Emirates to mark the day.
