UAE, Turkmenistan discuss cooperation relations

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, 26th May, 2022 (WAM) — Ahmed Al Hay Al Hameli, UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan has met with Rashid Meredov, Turkmen Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, to discuss several sectors of common interest.

During the meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat, Meredov praised the development and progress of the UAE-Turkmenistan relations at various levels.

For his part, Al Hameli conveyed to Meredov the greetings of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; and Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State.

The two sides reflected on the existing cooperation relations between the UAE and Turkmenistan, and ways to further develop them across various fields for the benefit of both countries and its peoples.

They also discussed and exchanged views on regional and international issues of concern.
