UAE University launched the “National Faculty Research Program” as part of the university’s initiatives to support scientific research and enable faculty members to gain expertise in scientific activities.

Dr. Ahmed Murad, associate deputy for scientific research, emphasized that the National Faculty’s research program comes as a national program that contributes to the development of national faculty members in the field of scientific research and enables them to publish the results of their research activities in the most prestigious and highly regarded international journals. Through this two-year program, national faculty members at all faculties will be able to obtain research grants to conduct advanced studies and research in all disciplines.

This program also aims to highlight emirate talents and researchers in various scientific and literary disciplines, which will strengthen the university’s position as a research university producing science and knowledge. This program will also contribute to the national research strategy to achieve sustainability and create a generation of emirate scientists and researchers.

He explained that the University will support the dissemination of the results of research projects at international conferences, so that the UAE University is committed to improving its position as a leading research university through the participation of the local and international community in projects and research groups dealing with topics. national strategic priorities and global dimensions.

Murad added: The university is committed to launching effective initiatives that increase faculty members’ contributions to society by delivering research results based on field studies. These initiatives also help build national capabilities and strengthen research competencies through fieldwork, as they enhance the ability to adapt to rapid change in science and technology.

Research proposals will be submitted through the electronic grant management system, and the submitted proposals will be evaluated by the Vice Dean for Scientific Research and Master’s Studies, the directors of research centers, the Office of the Associate for Scientific Research, and will be followed by three external international experts. The value of the support for each research project ranges from 250,000 dirhams to literary, social and humanitarian research proposals to 400,000 dirhams to other scientific research proposals.

UAE University also works regularly to review progress in research results for all funded programs, reflecting the university’s vision to build national capacity and contribute to national development and prosperity over the next fifty years through scientific research.
