VIENNA, 25th November, 2022 (WAM) — The United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) has launched the second phase of the Global Cleantech Innovation Programme (GCIP).
The Programme advances the emergence, development and dissemination of cleantech innovations in fifteen countries.
The statement, issued by the UNIDO headquarters in the Austrian capital, Vienna, said that the programme will fund small and medium enterprises and allow entrepreneurs to get access to finance and training, ensuring that they provide solutions to tackle climate change.
UNIDO has a long-established approach to climate and environmental action through innovation and technology development, which will create green jobs, promote low-carbon industry and improve productivity across industrial value chains.
